We are called to embrace God’s kind of lifestyle of faith. (Romans 1:17) The chief cornerstone of the Household of faith is the Word of God and the building itself is righteousness, meaning godly character – the fruit of the Spirit! (John 2:19; 1 Cor 16:19; 2 Cor 16:16) Psalms 127:1 says that God is building Himself into us, making Himself a part of us as the Word dominates, rules and sanctifies our spirit nature. God is in all ages, gathering into Himself a generation of spiritual worshippers.

God is looking for your heart and your heart is yearning for eternity. The state of our heart is fundamental to faith and godly life. In the Household of faith, faith and the fruit of the Spirit are the two pillars, the evidence of which are knowledge of the Word of God and the fruit of the Spirit because faith works by love! (Galatians 5:6) Faith brings man to God and love brings him to man.

If you want to be a member of the household of faith, you have to follow God’s processing. Why processing? This means there are no shortcuts to spiritual maturity: our earthly understanding must give way to spiritual enlightenment. Righteousness does not just happen; it is built. That building, starts inside of you and it requires your full attention.

Why attention? Dedication and discipline are the fruit of righteousness. Dedicate your heart to the Word of God and discipline your mind by meditating on it day and night. (Joshua 1:8) To be God’s person, you have to follow His process. The Holy Spirit, the Divine Builder, uses God’s Words to act upon our soul to produce the beauty of Christ in you; that’s the process of God’s mind! The Saviour of the world honoured process; even though He was the Son of God, Jesus learned obedience through what He suffered. (Hebrews 5:8)

No one can reap a harvest where there is no seed planted. What do I mean by seed planted? Every country has a set currency for legal transactions! The only currency that has legal tender in the Kingdom of God is faith! We are faced by God’s uncompromising demand for faith. No one can steal or arrogate the things of God! So, a seed must be planted to reap the Heavenly reward!

It takes heavenly currency to appropriate heavenly things. This means no shortcuts; you have to go through the process of God. What is that process? Your seed must move your faith and your faith moves God!

To plant the seed is to lay the foundation. What is the ground for the seed of life? The human heart! Dedicate your heart to the Word of faith! God’s kind of lifestyle is all about building an upright heart! It is day by day, minute by minute, thought by thought. We are made in our heart to be like Jesus Christ! Your heart is the temple of the Household of faith! That is why your heart needs to be opened to receive the seed of divine life.
