That same month, my daughter received her registration with the SANC Nursing Council of South Africa, a process we had been waiting for since January. This registration was crucial for my immigration to New Zealand, and I am thrilled to share that mine came through on July 8!
We applied for our visas, and by God’s grace, mine was processed in just 10 days. However, when everything seemed set for our move, I received an email from my new employer stating they could not reimburse the promised expenses for my tickets, shipping, and accommodation upon arrival. This was disheartening, as I was set to start working in New Zealand on August 5, but the registration delay had thrown a wrench in those plans.
Despite this setback, I continued to pray and reached out to my agent who had helped me secure the job. The very next morning, I received a hopeful email from my employer saying they would reimburse me after all—but I had to be in New Zealand by early September. I promptly booked our flights, and on September 3, we arrived in New Zealand safely.
I have been continually witnessing God’s hand at work in my life and in the lives of my daughters. When I started my new job on September 16, my manager expressed her curiosity about me. She mentioned that I was one of three nurses—along with a nurse from the UK and another from Singapore—who had faced a similar situation with the Department of Health. However, only I had been considered for the position after I sent my email. I simply replied, “I am a child of God.”
I am grateful for the man of God’s prayers and teachings, which have guided me through this journey. Thank you, and may God bless you and your family abundantly!
Emmanuel!
