Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
For He has broken the gates of bronze,
And cut the bars of iron in two.”

Psalm 107:16

What are your gates of bronze? What are the iron bars that seem to hold you down?

God has broken them when Jesus died for you. Yes, the shackles of darkness, of sin, of death have been broken by Jesus Christ.

If our spiritual eyes are opened to the battle that Jesus has fought and won for us, every living soul would praise Him.

Why then do so many of us seem trapped, hindered, limited and imprisoned today? It is only when we sin that satan holds us in chains. But when we recognise the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and allow His Blood to cleanse us, satan’s chains mean nothing to us.

It was Joshua’s role to instruct the army to shout praises to God; it was God’s part to bring the walls of Jericho crashing down.

It was Paul and Silas’ role to sing praises to God; it was God’s part to break their prison chains.

If you believe that Jesus has broken your gates of bronze, and cut the bars of iron in your life, then the praises of every living soul would not be enough to thank Him.

While we are alive, let us  praise God and every moment of every day thank Him for His goodness and wonderful work, for He has set us free.

SECURE YOUR HEART

A house built on the rock stands forever.
By faith, we begin to look not at our weakness but believe that we have the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Righteousness is right standing before God. In His presence, your heart is secured.

SHOWER YOUR SPIRIT

Despite taking great care of our physical appearance, so many of us are discouraged, frustrated, fearful, angry, bitter and offended inside – and this is what shows through our words and behaviour, no matter how much we try and hide it. Why? Because our heart is not cleansed and our mind not refreshed.

CONVICTED BY YOUR CONSCIENCE

Often, the loudest rebuke is the one from the inside of us. Because the motive of our heart cannot be concealed, and no one knows us better than we do ourselves. So, if we are convicted by our conscience, there is hope for us.
