“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7

When God moulded man in the beginning, man did not become a man until he was filled. In the same way, when you were formed, you did not become alive ‘til the breath of God breathed life into your spirit being.

Your spirit being is the engine that carries your life. As you are alive mentally, physically, and emotionally, don’t neglect the life of your spirit.

David, a man after God’s own heart knew the importance of his spirit being, when He prayed in Psalm 119:40 “Behold, I long for Your precepts; Revive me in Your righteousness.”

He knew that it is only the righteousness of God that can revive us spiritually and that when his spirit was revived and strengthened, He was ready for anything that life threw at him.

As long as you have the gift of life, make sure your spirit is revived and this is something only the Spirit of God can do through His Word, which is spirit and life (John 6:63).

  • Oh Holy Spirit, breath of God, breathe in me the breath of God!
  • Oh Holy Spirit, through whom all things were created, create in me a new life, a new beginning!

SECURE YOUR HEART

A house built on the rock stands forever.
By faith, we begin to look not at our weakness but believe that we have the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Righteousness is right standing before God. In His presence, your heart is secured.

SHOWER YOUR SPIRIT

Despite taking great care of our physical appearance, so many of us are discouraged, frustrated, fearful, angry, bitter and offended inside – and this is what shows through our words and behaviour, no matter how much we try and hide it. Why? Because our heart is not cleansed and our mind not refreshed.

CONVICTED BY YOUR CONSCIENCE

Often, the loudest rebuke is the one from the inside of us. Because the motive of our heart cannot be concealed, and no one knows us better than we do ourselves. So, if we are convicted by our conscience, there is hope for us.
