“…the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.”      (Acts 13:2-3)

Paul’s missionary journeys were ordained and entirely led by the Holy Spirit. What is the position of God in your journey through life?

Proverbs 14:12, Jeremiah 10:23 and Psalm 23 reveal a graphic roadmap of the uncertainties of the journey of life mapped with unstable weather and terrain. These Scriptures say that the only way to secure the journey is to allow God to take the lead by committing our life to Him.

Do you allow God to take the lead? What is the position of God in your life? If you put God to where He belongs, God will put you to where He belongs: His presence where there is security. 1 Samuel 2:30 ” I will honour those who honour me”

What is the position God wants in your life? Let us listen to God’s uncompromising demand in Matthew 15:8 “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.”Failure to put God to where He belongs- in our heart- is actually responsible for the crisis in our life. God wants our heart. Our heart is God’s dwelling place. Revelation 3:20 says that God wants us to invite Him in the most sacred place: our heart is God’s temple. (Ephesians 3:17)

Those who serve and involve God only with their mouths are those who, after making their own plans and arrangements, board the plane and suddenly remember life’s uncertainties when the pilot announces to fasten the seatbelts because of turbulance, and they begin to pray to God for protection for the journey. These are those who put God in the luggage compartment as if God is not entirely part of their life! They only remember God when they are in need of Him.

Those who serve God with their heart are those who allow God to give birth to their heart’s desires. These are those who put God to where He really belongs: not in the luggage compartment, not in economy class, not in business class not in first class by in the cockpit !!! For them God IS THE PILOT IN COMMAND. Their heart is the cockpit where God dwells and files the flight plan: God decides the destination and the itinerary leading safely to that place at God’s appointed time.

HE WILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU HAVE NOT ASKED

“So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked.” 1 Kings 3:11-12
God was pleased that Solomon requested divine wisdom to carry out his God-given assignment instead of earthly riches or fame, and blessed him more than he could imagine.
In the same way, God tests our hearts to reward us, to see what we truly seek.”

WRITTEN IN HEAVEN

“However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20
When the seventy-two disciples returned with joy from their mission, Jesus warned them that the source of their joy should come not from the visible results of the Spirit’s power, but the Holy Spirit Himself, who has sealed for Christ, and written our name in Heaven.”

REVIVE ME

“As long as you have the gift of life, make sure your spirit is revived and this is something only the Spirit of God can do through His Word, which is spirit and life (John 6:63).

* Oh Holy Spirit, breath of God, breathe in me the breath of God!
* Oh Holy Spirit, through whom all things were created, create in me a new life, a new beginning!.”
