“And Moses said to the people, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.’” Exodus 14:13-14

This was Moses’ response of faith while the children of Israel were terrified, trapped between the raging Red Sea and the pursuing army of 600 chariots.

Hearing the cry of His own people, God led the Israelites out of the land of slavery. The red sea was a transit point in God’s plan for the journey to freedom. It wasn’t a mistake but a calculated strategy to let them cross onto dry ground. While the people focused on their fear of the threat surrounding them, God made a way where there seemed to be no way.

God has a way of revealing Himself as Lord over our lives. Often, God introduces Himself to us as the Mighty God in the midst of all impossibilities. “And the Lord said to Moses, “…Tell the children of Israel to go forward.” He didn’t prevent Pharaoh’s army from pursuing the Israelites nor did He avoid the way to the Red Sea. God doesn’t dodge crises, but He sees them as a challenge to bring glory and honour to His name. He split the red sea for His people to cross onto dry ground. God doesn’t require anyone’s permission before rescuing His people in a way that is beyond human comprehension.

As a believer, the situation you face shouldn’t draw your attention to what is before, behind, or around you but to the One who is with you – God. That situation doesn’t call for fear or lamentation but for courage to soldier on at the Lord’s command. If your situation seems to persist in staying, don’t give up; keep your solid front and, by faith give God time and chance to show His mighty power. As God instructed Moses to go forward, Keep your forward movement. It is when your heart stands still and you continue to move on by faith, that His mighty power will forcefully come onto the scene to make a way, and you will begin to walk on dry ground in the midst of raging waters.

HE WILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU HAVE NOT ASKED

“So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked.” 1 Kings 3:11-12
God was pleased that Solomon requested divine wisdom to carry out his God-given assignment instead of earthly riches or fame, and blessed him more than he could imagine.
In the same way, God tests our hearts to reward us, to see what we truly seek.”

WRITTEN IN HEAVEN

“However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20
When the seventy-two disciples returned with joy from their mission, Jesus warned them that the source of their joy should come not from the visible results of the Spirit’s power, but the Holy Spirit Himself, who has sealed for Christ, and written our name in Heaven.”

REVIVE ME

“As long as you have the gift of life, make sure your spirit is revived and this is something only the Spirit of God can do through His Word, which is spirit and life (John 6:63).

* Oh Holy Spirit, breath of God, breathe in me the breath of God!
* Oh Holy Spirit, through whom all things were created, create in me a new life, a new beginning!.”
