“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord” Acts 3:19

Are you in need of times of refreshing? Everyone loves the fresh feeling of stepping out of a cool shower on a warm day, or a hot shower on a cold day. In fact, we cannot go without washing our body, but do we ensure that we are clean on the inside?  Don’t forget the Bible says in Matthew 5:8 and Matthew 15:8 that cleanliness is next to godliness.

Despite taking great care of our physical appearance, so many of us are discouraged, frustrated, fearful, angry, bitter and offended inside – and this is what shows through our words and behaviour, no matter how much we try and hide it. Why? Because our heart is not cleansed and our mind not refreshed.

Jesus said in Matthew 15:11-20 It is not what goes into the mouth of a man that makes him unclean and defiled, but what comes out of the mouth; this makes a man unclean and defiles [him].

It is only when we understand that the freedom we need is freedom from sin that we will see the depth of Christ’s sacrifice for us. Yes, salvation is to be set free from sin and its penalties. And the peace and joy we experience when we confess our sins and receive Christ’s forgiveness has no equal.

For you to be refreshed in your spirit, repent from your sins and be converted to a new life in Christ. When your spirit is clean, you are refreshed indeed.

CONVICTED BY YOUR CONSCIENCE

Often, the loudest rebuke is the one from the inside of us. Because the motive of our heart cannot be concealed, and no one knows us better than we do ourselves. So, if we are convicted by our conscience, there is hope for us.

LISTEN TO HIM

Jesus’ mission on earth was to preach the Good news of the Kingdom of God. The signs and wonders He performed was for people to believe His words. Every word of Jesus is spirit and life. Are you listening to Him?

MY STRONGHOLD

When Jesus said in Mark 5:36, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe,’ He showed us where our stronghold is. No matter what statistics say, no matter what your situation says, no matter what the voice of your society says, we have no other refuge than this command of Jesus, ‘Only believe.’
