“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the [a]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:”

John 1:12

The Book of John 1:12 says that we are sons and daughters of God with power. How do we have access to that power? The access pass – only believe. That is the power of faith. Faith is the spiritual force that enables us to make a difference. Difference means uncommon achievement. Why is faith needed to make a difference? We are saved, blessed and victorious by grace through faith. Faith gives us access to all the resources of Heaven. Jesus said to the father of the demon possessed boy in Mark 9:23 “If you believe all things are possible.” When you step into faith you will see the glory of God. (John 11:40)

Immediately God called Abraham to go a place of divine assignment, Abraham checked out of the warm arms of his family without any doubt and ventured into faith life and became a father of nations.

Immediately Jesus called the sons of Zebedee: John and James, they left their business as fishermen and followed Jesus and became the great Apostles we know.

Immediately Saul had the revelation of Jesus Christ, his life as a persecutor came to an end, and by faith he stepped into the missionary journey to unknown places to spread the knowledge of Christ’s saving grace.

The work of faith is not a risk but a sure and practical act. When we learn to approach our situation by faith, there will be no limit to what we can achieve.

THE GARDEN OF DECISION

In the garden of Eden, a place of pleasure, a place of abundance, a place of intimacy with God, Adam disobeyed.
In the garden of Gethsemane, a place of pain, a place of sorrow, a place of suffering where before Him was the weight of the sins of the world and rejection from God, Jesus obeyed.

SEARCH ME

Do you know that God searches our heart? Because only He can see the true motivation behind what we do. What will a search of your heart reveal? Anxious thoughts? Fear? Doubt? Impatience? Anger? Worry? Our life is what our thoughts make it. When we come to God with our lips, He listens to our heart.

THE GREATEST WEAPON

No matter the challenge or confrontation you face today, it is how you respond that matters because our real enemy is sin. When our impatience is provoked, our patience has a chance to grow, when our hatred is provoked, our love has a chance to grow. When our doubt is provoked, our faith has a chance to grow. The psalmist understood that the only way to respond as God would want us to, is when the Word of God is hidden in our heart.
