“A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it…”

Isaiah 35:8

Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:8 that it is only the pure in heart that shall see God. This means that it is what is inside of you that makes you clean or unclean in God’s sight.

The happiness of seeing God is for those only who are pure in heart. God has set the way to eternity before you. To walk on the highway of holiness, you must be cleansed on the inside, because that is what matters to God. By faith in the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ we are purified.

To get to Heaven, the requirement of purity must be kept. Are you on the right road? The highway to Heaven starts on this side of death, and the entrance is easy to find. Jesus Christ said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14:16). Are you ready for the journey of righteousness? All you need is to go by the way of the Cross; in other words, follow the path of faith, humility and self-denial because our will must submit to God’s will before God’s sanctifying and purifying power can work in us. Sanctification leads us into God’s presence.

In Romans 10:1-13, Paul declared that the road to Heaven is not difficult to find nor to access. It is right in front of us in the Word of God. There is a purifying and sanctifying power in the word of God. (John 15:3; John 17:17). what does God’s Word say? The Bible says whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved, (Romans 10:13). When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we have the very presence of God in our heart through the Holy Spirit. There is security, peace in God’s presence.

Oh Holy Spirit, draw my heart that I may love what is holy, in Jesus’ name.

WISDOM’S CALL

It is true that with time comes experience, but the divine wisdom of God knows no age, no race, no barrier or division. Today, make a decision to heed wisdom’s call, and this starts with the simple understanding that God is God and we should reverence Him.

WHAT BELONGS TO GOD

This instruction of Jesus reminds us that whatever we do in this earth, whatever we encounter and whatever comes our way, nothing should take our heart from God. Different responsibilities, challenges and pressures may fight for our attention but nothing should take the place of God in our heart, because our heart belongs to Him.

ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO LEAD YOU

When we pay attention to the Word of God, seeing it not as an ordinary word but the Word of God, then our mind will be renewed and our heart will begin to desire the things from above. We must be spiritually inclined to discover spiritual things.
