2 kings 7:6-7

For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!” Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives.”

Although the Lord had made the enemy to flee from the camp, it was not until desperation caused the four lepers to enter the camp that they finally discovered it and encountered God’s blessings. Even the king when he heard about it did not believe it and was still bound by fear of the enemy that had already run away.

How many of us like the people within the dying city, struck by famine, give in to fear, desperation and refuse to venture outside when God has chased our enemy away? Fear can cripple and torment us, and rob us of life’s opportunities. How many minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and even years have been wasted due to fear?

Fear changes our focus. Fear weakens your resolve, determination and will power. Millions have surrendered to their fears while their heart dreams for a miracle. Don’t let this happen to you today.

Remember, many fears exist – the fear of loss, failure, poverty, false accusation, sickness and disease, rejection but you have a Friend, a Comforter, the Holy Spirit. Always remember, the Holy Spirit can eliminate all fear of man.

Reach out toward the Holy Spirit. Come into His presence. Ask Him to dispel every atom of fear within you, in Jesus’ name so you can step out and claim God’s blessing for your life.

WRITTEN IN HEAVEN

“However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20
When the seventy-two disciples returned with joy from their mission, Jesus warned them that the source of their joy should come not from the visible results of the Spirit’s power, but the Holy Spirit Himself, who has sealed for Christ, and written our name in Heaven.”

REVIVE ME

“As long as you have the gift of life, make sure your spirit is revived and this is something only the Spirit of God can do through His Word, which is spirit and life (John 6:63).

* Oh Holy Spirit, breath of God, breathe in me the breath of God!
* Oh Holy Spirit, through whom all things were created, create in me a new life, a new beginning!.”

GOD FIRST

“Let’s take a lesson from David who was ready to be humiliated in his own eyes, so that God could be honoured. Ask yourself: Where does honouring God appear in your list of priorities? Do you thank Him for all that He has done in your life, all the way long? While men look at the outside, God looks at the motives of the heart. Instead of worrying about the opinion of others concerning you, let the motive of your heart each day be to honour God before yourself.”
