Christians all over the world observe Easter in holy assemblies to honour Christ’s victory over death in Matthew 28:1-15. We are saved by a Gospel that tells us that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins and rose from the dead. Embracing this message by faith is what saves us. The blood Jesus shed on the cross of Calvary, the blood that dripped from His hands, feet and head is the most precious commodity in the history of mankind. Jesus Christ has purchased, at the price of great sufferings, salvation, deliverance, healing and all of God’s blessings.
One thing we must bear in our mind: satan discusses our past because that is the only information, he has about us, while Jesus discusses our future.
He has come to put an end to our past and to give us a new life that is full and free. Imagine a life free of guilt, fear, condemnation, inferiority complex! What a blessed life!
Romans 6:4 – “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.’’
When we talk of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are talking of the rare opportunity He has given to all believers to experience a new beginning – a situation in which every dead area of our lives receives life anew.
We are dead to our past and alive to our future. Sin’s power over us is broken and we now put on Christ’s new life: we live in Him, move in Him and have our being in Him. Herein lies the significance of resurrection.
This Easter, be released into a new life – God’s agenda! Let the power of resurrection, of Easter, flow into your life, in newness of life!
Let Christ’s life, abundant life begin to flow in your spiritual life, emotional life, physical life in the name of Jesus!
