“And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.”

Hebrews 6:15

No one sets out to build a house without tools, and yet why do so many of us face life’s journey without the necessary tools to come out stronger? Patience, perseverance, and endurance are the tools of a man and woman of faith.

In this instant generation when we are used to having what we want at the click of a button, these virtues are rarely celebrated. But ask Abraham and Sarah and they will tell you that faith is coupled with patience in inheriting the promise of God for your life.

Don’t forget the promise of God for your life. If your present situation does not agree that picture of God, don’t lose hope.

Are you tempted to listen to the voice of your situation bringing doubt in your heart?

Patience becomes our protection against the grumbling of the adversary. The first lesson in patience is learning to count trials as joy. The love you give, the forgiveness you show, the patience and forbearance that grace your life will surely produce much fruit, perhaps long after you have forgotten about them. God never forgets. Give God time!

When you are patient, you discover God’s presence, because in the waiting, God is working!

HE WILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU HAVE NOT ASKED

“So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked.” 1 Kings 3:11-12
God was pleased that Solomon requested divine wisdom to carry out his God-given assignment instead of earthly riches or fame, and blessed him more than he could imagine.
In the same way, God tests our hearts to reward us, to see what we truly seek.”

WRITTEN IN HEAVEN

“However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20
When the seventy-two disciples returned with joy from their mission, Jesus warned them that the source of their joy should come not from the visible results of the Spirit’s power, but the Holy Spirit Himself, who has sealed for Christ, and written our name in Heaven.”

REVIVE ME

“As long as you have the gift of life, make sure your spirit is revived and this is something only the Spirit of God can do through His Word, which is spirit and life (John 6:63).

* Oh Holy Spirit, breath of God, breathe in me the breath of God!
* Oh Holy Spirit, through whom all things were created, create in me a new life, a new beginning!.”
