PEARL OF GREAT PRICE

Many a times, things go out of control and very often, the heart becomes heavy and its pain is hidden. When it is getting more burdensome, sometimes, eyes have to look up to prevent a drop from falling. When it is no longer easy to bear, fingers move fast to wipe it before anyone can see the tear.

How can it be easy, when this world is a troubled world? Man is born to trouble yet Heaven is aware. Man has no trouble that is not registered in Heaven. Sometimes God allows that painful situation in life, just to draw you closer to Him or to strengthen your faith, because our faith grows stronger in difficulties.

Has your situation weighed you down? Be encouraged today, Psalm 56:8-9 (NKJV) says, “You number my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in Your book? When I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back; this I know, because God is for me.”

God never forgets. People don’t want to feel pain in this life but want to be appreciated. Do you know that what makes a pearl is tears? And that is the reason pearls are priceless. In the same way, you need to be melted, moulded and filled before you can be a pearl of usefulness for Christ.

All want to be appreciated as a pearl and yet, not everyone is ready to go through the transformation process. Jesus wants to transform you into a precious gem but many times, you don’t allow Him to do so, because that is not the easiest way. Sometimes, God may allow some situations to come your way but how you respond to it will determine what will become of you. Will you come out as a precious pearl or remain the old man inside you?

In the midst of your trouble, when you look at Jesus, you will enjoy the taste of honey while swallowing your tears. Remember, Someone is somewhere counting your tears and turning them into precious pearls. As long as we live in this world, hurt, pain, disappointment will continue to come but your tears for God’s sake, your steadfast obedience to the Word of God in the midst of them will produce a pearl of great price. Matthew 13:45 says, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.”

I will leave you with a question for your heart: Will the merchant find a pearl of great price in you?

THE MYSTERY OF GOD

“Where we desire vengeance, God pursues mercy. Where we encourage pride, God exalts the humble, where we focus on the outside, God looks at the heart. That is the greatest mystery of all – the God who created us now dwells not in temples built with human hands but within us by faith in our heart. (Acts 17:24).”

GOD’S LIFT

“IIf you enter a lift to go to the penthouse of a skyscraper building, how many of you would first press to go to down to the underground car park? No one! Yet, in God’s way of doing things, it is our job to submit and humble ourselves under Him and His job to lift us up in His time and in His way. In other words, humility is God’s lift for elevation.”

TICKET TO ETERNITY

“In Matthew 22:21 Jesus said, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” What is of God must return to Him. With the Word of God in your heart, you can one day return to Him in the world of glory.”
