“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

(Romans 5:8)

If you look at the great apostles of faith in the Bible, you will agree with me that God’s beloved can come from anywhere. Nationality, parentage and education are not criteria. It is not the works of righteousness that we have done but according to His amazing grace.

We need to remind ourselves often that we are sinners saved by grace. This grace is for the women as well as the men, the uneducated as well as the knowledgeable, the weak as well as the strong. Many today think they can earn God´s favour by their good works but Christianity is not a religion; it’s a relationship. No matter how many good works you do or how fine an attitude you have, you can never do enough to earn God’s forgiveness, His love. What matters to Jesus is your attitude towards Him. That was why Jesus asked Peter in the book of John 21:15-17, do you love me? Love is the only genuine principle from which the service of the Lord must spring.

Apostle Paul knew that faith without love is faithless, when he taught us that love activates faith (Galatians 5:6). Do you feel lacking in faith? Do you feel dry in your walk with Christ? Are you yearning for revelation? If you examine yourself sincerely, you will see that it is not time or resources that you lack, but love. When we love Jesus, there is a promise of God attached to this. God’s goodness will continue in every area of our lives if we respond by loving Him, because love is the fuel of faith.

CONVICTED BY YOUR CONSCIENCE

Often, the loudest rebuke is the one from the inside of us. Because the motive of our heart cannot be concealed, and no one knows us better than we do ourselves. So, if we are convicted by our conscience, there is hope for us.

LISTEN TO HIM

Jesus’ mission on earth was to preach the Good news of the Kingdom of God. The signs and wonders He performed was for people to believe His words. Every word of Jesus is spirit and life. Are you listening to Him?

MY STRONGHOLD

When Jesus said in Mark 5:36, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe,’ He showed us where our stronghold is. No matter what statistics say, no matter what your situation says, no matter what the voice of your society says, we have no other refuge than this command of Jesus, ‘Only believe.’
